Hi I'm Bex. After giving up my office job, I decided to travel alone around India for 5 months doing voluntary work with young people from the most deprived areas of India.

I also visited many homes and cafes where I was fed beautiful home cooked food. The sheer choice of amazing vegan and gluten free food choices in India, along with the spirit of small business and quality of food.... enthused and catapulted me to develop Hygge Food.

Hygge (pronounced "hooo-gar") is a cultural concept I discovered in Denmark, which is about creating a sense of warmth and cosiness in your home or public space, which is needed in a country that gets very cold and often has very little sunlight. Food can be Hygge and Scotland has tonnes of Hygge.

My aim is simple to provide affordable, cruelty free, accessible and creative food choices, while still supporting community projects.
